God wants to put His love in your heart, and it is a time of refreshing. He is asking you to come away with Him on this busy season. So, we’re going to take a moment and soak in His presence, and let Him show us how to connect with Him in love on a greater level. 

This may be different for some people than others, but Jesus’s yoke is easy and His burden is light. Let’s set aside for a moment every weight that we carry right now. God with us is: Emmanuel. Let us return to intimacy with Jesus in a fresh, new way: we with God.

As you rest in God’s presence...worship, praise, adore and receive. Whatever God is showing you to do…do that. Then, as you are receiving His love, be open for how your love is going to be a present in this week. 

You will be present in your family, or your friends, or your work, or your interactions. God’s love is spilled into your heart, transforming you as a cucumber is transformed into a pickle by the brine in which it rests. 

The love God pours out into you is the love with which you love Him back. It creates the lens through which you see Him, yourself, and the world. Let God do a deep work in your heart and transform you. And then take that presence and walk with it into this day and week. 

Whenever you feel more like a cucumber that a pickle, come back and relax, rest in Him, and cast off your burdens for His yoke again. You will be refreshed in His love. 

Ask God how He wants His love to look in and through you this week and this season. Grace, mercy, love. There is no condemnation; it’s at the foot of the cross. You are your Beloved’s, and He is yours.
